Retirement allowed a renewed opportunity to revive a long lived interest in photography. Recalling the very early days using Dad's Agfa Isolette 2 1/4 inch format camera (which I still have), shooting B&W and having lots of fun. Exploring film development and darkroom print processing in a temporary darkroom was a great challenge, light leaks were many! Pentax and Olympus 35mm film cameras eventually moved over to make room for a Coolpix Point and Shoot, but digital really bit with the Samsung PRO 815.

 

Today's images are shot with Nikon cameras, (D90 and D7100) using a variety of wide angle (landscape, seascape + astroscape) to telephoto lenses, mainly for wildlife.

 

I avidly consume all things photographic, books, magazines, web tuts, and enjoy specialty courses.

  

Have been known as Mr Gadget - do enjoy trying to make life easier with technology, but it does get in the way sometimes!
